Resumen:
Geographic architecture is a framework proposal that allows to reveal the social production of the border space. The main focus of this article considers that borders have an undeniable influence over humankind, it predetermines nationality, culture, movement and in particular the understanding of social spatiality. Prospective aspects of architecture with the multiscale reach of geography are combined to approach border space in the urban society. A multidisciplinary vision is promoted regarding complex problematics, as those regarding the perception, conception and life of the border and how these are not aside from unequal and unsustainable spatial phenomena. Considering the case of the Arica Tacna urban border allows an approach for a future dialectic practical research.
