dc.description.abstract | Abstract | This essay is a case study over the film “Chef” (2014) by Jon Favreu. The film waschosen in order to analyze the intersections between identity and culture. At firstglance, the essay centers its look into the film narrative, in order to show How thefilm has built up and managed the notion around what is the “Latino”. Then, atheoretical analysis goes deeper over the subject of “culture” and the historicalconstruction of the meaning, as well as political references that surrounds the“Latino” imaginary, its administration and uses in the United States. | es |
